![]() ![]() She managed to lean on and hold onto the wood fence that lead the long line towards the tractor pick up point. From that point on we had to hope her legs didn’t fail her. We left her walker reluctantly in the corral. His response was they weren’t supposed to, he didn’t even try to accommodate us. I even went up to the tractor driver and asked if mom could get on at the drop off point because she had trouble walking. I knew mom was going to have a terrible time getting around anywhere without her walker. Once we made our way to the long line I noticed families storing their strollers in a corral. The distance from the silo was quite some way on loose gravel. Again I inquired about the distance to the sunflowers, seems we had to take a tractor ride out to them. Once we ate our snacks we made the trek to the nearest ticket silo. Mom tried the apple crisp, pretty “chincy”portion for $3.50. Be prepared to spend a lot of money □ Our meager pork sandwich meal was mostly bun but came with a small sample of apple sauce, fresh made donut and for an up charge a slushy. ![]() Not many visitors were wearing masks but the staff mostly were. You go up and wait in the social distancing line to order food. I only saw one person cleaning tables between users. Mainly because I knew mom needed the rest before we would learn what awaited us. We managed to get handicap parking but the entrance was a long way to walk for someone that is disabled and needs a walker. Pretty pricey to see some sunflowers I thought. I asked about a senior discount, it was only $2 off the $15.95 admission. Before we set out I called ahead and explained I was bringing my elderly mother. I wanted to provide an adventure for my mom to see the sunflowers □ on a beautiful day. ![]()
